A ten member student delegation from JB Gymnasiet accompanied by Mr Lars Olov, Principal, Mr Niclas Tornbladh and Ms Stina Ekwell visited St. Mark’s Senior Secondary Public School , Meera Bagh, New Delhi from 29 March 2013 to 6 April 2013.

The students from JB Gymnasiet got a taste of the Indian culture and lifestyle as they stayed with their Indian buddies. The delegation attended a few classes, noteworthy among them was an art class wherein they learnt some Madhubani painting. Another special class that they attended was the Home Science Class where the Swedish students learnt to cook Pulao, a dish prepared with rice, and some Raita (Indian yogurt). During their stay in New Delhi, the delegation was taken on a Delhi cultural tour by the members of the school’s Heritage Club. A formal event to welcome the guests comprising of a few traditional Indian dance items along with the performance of Dancing Queen by ABBA was also organised by the St. Mark’s School.
