The 15th ASEF ClassNet Conference (#ASEFClassNet15) is planned to take place in Japan, a country that is globally recognised as a leading hub for the invention of AI based technologies and research. The conference will focus on the theme, “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Re-imagining the Future of Learning” (working title) and addresses three themes:

  1. Re-modelling schools
  2. Re-thinking the role of teachers
  3. Re-building school leadership

ASEFClassNet15 will facilitate a robust dialogue on AI in education by providing a multistakeholder platform for secondary/high schools and vocational school teachers, researchers, policy makers and EdTech leaders to:

  • Raise awareness of the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Education” as an integrative element in teaching and learning in secondary, high and vocational school education, through case-studies and practical tools
  • Encourage schools to join an active Asia-Europe network and to initiate collaboration and support for creating holistic and timely relevant future learning environments
  • Gather feedback from teachers to suggest policy recommendations to education policy makers and governments to improve the future of learning

More information on the upcoming conference and the open call for applications will be launched at the second half of 2019.
